    Why This Book

    ...

My goal is to provide an alternative approach to heavy handed alpha dog based "training" for your pup. I use a gentle, treats and praise method of teaching. Both parent and pup work on being calm, all the while enjoying their relationship together.

    ...

Does your dog or puppy pull? Is your shoulder already sore from the argument you two are having. In this book, you and your dog learn the fundamentals for a stress-free walk. You can apply these methods right away. You'll notice a difference immediately.

    ...

Read this book and learn how to walk without pain, use games as teaching tools and learn correction the right way. Become a Dog Communicator and get your relationship working right from the start.

Don't Just Treat Symptoms - Fix The Problem

There has been a shift in how dogs are reared. It is now more like bringing up the pup. Helping them learn what we require of them. Teaching them through games, rewarding good behaviour and correcting behaviour we disagree with. You can get you dog to be anything you want. The simple trick is consistency. Treats and Praise.

When you are consistent, your pup learns faster. It also works on building the bond. Your bond is important so the pup looks at you as a family elder and listens to your requests. When your pup listens to you, you are happy, when you are happy the dog mirrors you and wants to make you happier by learning quickly. It is a positive upward spiral.

Raphael has over 25 years experience communicating with dogs. From his fostering of individuals deemed too dangerous to adopt to learning from his own Aussie Shepherd, he has seen a lot of dog personalities, and helped a lot of puppy parents. Through his consistent use of treats and praise and gentle corrections, he has helped raise many different dogs.

    Face Licks From A Dog

Face licks, to a dog, is the closest form of connection. This is the way they show thanks, love and respect. On the human side, it requires ultimate trust. Dogs come with sharp teeth. This is the ultimate thanks. At Raphael Dog Training, we want to see happy pups and their parents. We wish to see them walk with no pull, play with no escalation and live with no stress.

    About The Book

"For A Balanced Dog" - Out Now: Buy on Amazon

Picture this, long ago, faded in the mists of time, a wolf wonders into a human settlement and sits down beside one of our ancestors. They do not fear each other. They have made a deal: protection and hunting for treats and belly rubs. The ancient human - dog interspecies friendship. Without dogs we could not have farmed or in fact, even settled down. I have learned to speak with the original deal we made and communicate with a soft touch, with treats and praise. That does not mean no boundaries or discipline with the dog. On the contrary, it is through play, love and consistency that these boundaries are learned. Get ahold of these basic rudimentary commands, then have unlimited fun teaching your dog anything you can dream up. Included in the book is a tool kit of actions that can be applied to any situation.

Words Of Praise From Puppy Parents

"I love love love this book! Simple, useful, honest! A great reference. One of my favourite purchases, it's worth it!" Big smiles :) - Caele, Cao's mom "Raphael is currently helping me with Tazzie, my very large, very loved, goofy puppy. After just one session, we went out the next day for a leashed walk and saw a world of difference. Instead of coming home with a sore shoulder, Tazzie and I worked together to create a great experience for both of us! I can't believe the difference Tazzie and I feel after our first session. We are beyond excited to keep learning more so that Tazzie and I can be the best team we can be !" - Kaya, Tazzie's mom "At first my little Sheltie puppy didn't even want to go outside. A big noise scared him. Raphael was gentle and understanding of my little guy. Althought we are still working on things, Jazzy is walking on the leash now. I would highly recommend this service, we both are very happy."- Dennis, Jazz's Dad "Mocha is so well behaved now. She has recently turned two and is fine upstanding member of our community. She has patience and that is very important to me. I recommend Raphael, he listens to me and my dog." - Deana, Mocha's mom
